Things will never be the same again. This is clear to everyone.
The war has challenged every Ukrainian. Some accepted it on the very first day, while others plunged into long reflections. Some were ready even before the attack, while others forgot what they could do. We meet the bodies of our defenders on our knees, we flee abroad, we help, we sprinkle tears on the ground and fight for the right to be ourselves. We fight and continue to live. To live for ourselves and everyone who gave their lives. To live for others. The war has changed us. The war deprives us every moment. The war has planted pain in us.
Now, in order to refrain from the extremes of apocalyptic pessimism and hysterical optimism, we must simultaneously confront the darkness of our times and be a source of light for others. Every work presented here is a record of Ukrainian resilience. It is an attempt to pick the most important things, to highlight experiences and to snatch a momentary feeling from the violent flow. It is an attempt to re-consciously realize once again and let go.
