Ulyana creates in the folk manner, following the traditional iconography technique, using glass or wood - linden, ash, oak or cypress. Sometimes she creates her works on old door panels, which she buys from antique dealers. Ulyana says that doors from old Polish and Austrian houses have their own ancient spirit, which helps create peculiar pieces. Using a wooden board, she stretches gauze (pavoloka), applies gesso, i.e. icon-painting primer. According to the old technology, it is made with chalk, honey and gelatin. Adds holy water. Ulyana says that working with gesso is a pleasure because it has the texture of the human body. Uses pigments in a powdery substance - egg yolk with beer or white wine. All of her pieces are made of environmentally friendly material.
