In Eichstätt, Germany, an exhibition has been underway where the works of our artists are being showcased. A significant portion of the exposition is dedicated to the personal experiences Ukrainians endured during the war. However, the higher purpose of art is to live through our traumas and facilitate healing.
We want to congratulate Hlafira Shcherbak for the presentation of her creative project. The artist describes her work "Saint Nicholas" as follows: "He doesn't don the traditional gold or red attire typically associated with depictions of the saint. Instead, he wears a camouflage outfit reminiscent of a soldier's uniform. Nevertheless, this piece conveys a positive message, as Saint Nicholas symbolizes our hope and anticipation of a miracle for Ukraine."
