Life is like a sweet touch, a cool damp sorrow and a bitter dark sadness, the unbearable desire to be and the search for God in everything around and to see Him in the Neighbor. And the value of life is in that wholeness, not in denial or avoidance, but in acceptance and in changing oneself and reality, in the fact that each time we pass into a new quality, the experience that forms us. The thirst for life.
Life is like a flow of tenderness and warmth — in a touch, in a sip of air and in the fragrance of grass, in children’s noise, in the chaos that engulfs and you drown, in disorder (as evidence of external struggle), in the orderliness in which you try to find the lost (to find paradise), in the memories that protect and give ground to move further, to move toward God, knowing oneself, to move toward God, though God is everything…

This exhibition is about life, more precisely about what makes life life. These are the islands of support that give the possibility of movement and of knowing oneself and give us the strength to become better. It is about that world which we form around us, conversations with friends, acquaintances, things in which so many memories are contained, books through which we can plunge into a conversation with those who are no longer, it is those crumbs of the good that we gather in order to form, to see that world in which we long to be. Reconstruction of paradise.

This exhibition project arose from the attempt to hold those valuable moments of life, to form from them a certain space of life, that embraces both sacred and secular, that they are whole and not divided, that through both we come to know ourselves and come to know God. The exposition is formed in such a way that there is an alternation of icons and painted canvases, that create a wholeness. The icons are placed according to the principle of the life cycle in the church: baptism, first confession, marriage, funeral. While painting shows those moments that form, that speak of continuity, of belonging, of finding oneself, of the partial presence of paradise and hell already now.
