Ivan Dashko
As a reference point, I use Ukrainian iconography of the 15 and 16 century. In this period's works, I was always struck by a certain monumentality in the techniques of masters, the balance between the abiding to the canons in iconography and improvisation with colour. These features often qualitatively distinguish ancient Ukrainian icons from the icon-painting schools of other nations. Having such a strong tradition motivates me to spread and develop it.

He graduated from Trush Lviv State College of Decorative and Fine Arts,
Painting department snd
completed his Master degree at Lviv National Academy of Arts, Monumental Painting department.
The artworks are in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, USA, Canada.
