Halyna Tachynska-Fedchyshyn
The most valued feedback for me has always been and still is when people say that my icons are "written with love and filled with warmth." This gives a significant boost for work. I work mainly in the traditional technique of icon painting, namely the egg tempera. I try to imitate ancient masters and learn from contemporaries.
Was born in 1986 in Sambir, Ukraine. In 2005 she graduated from I. Filipchak Sambir Pedagogical College, Department of Fine Arts.
In 2011 she graduated from the Lviv National Academy of Arts, Artwork restoration department.
Since April 2012 she has been working at the Lviv Historical Museum as an artist-restorer. Halyna engaged in the restoration of icons of the XVII-XX century, graphic works, oil prints. The portfolio includes hundreds of restored works in museum and private collections.
