Miracle

"I dedicate this exhibition to the miracle of a child’s birth. Only after becoming a mother did I fully realize the sacredness and the unfathomable mystery of the creation of new life and experience unconditional, all-encompassing love.

In the Holy Scripture it is written: “But she will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith, love and holiness, with self-control” (1 Timothy 2:15). Yet alongside tenderness, motherhood brings immense responsibility and a sense of helplessness before the mystery of life: we have no power over when life begins, nor how long it will last.

A separate and painful theme of this exhibition is the loss of unborn children — a subject that is rarely spoken about in society. I dedicate my work Mother, created during the first week after the loss, to this experience. In the piece Creation, I depict a 14-week-old embryo in the mother’s womb — the exact age of my first son when he became an angel.

The second line of the exhibition explores biblical stories of miraculous conception and the resurrection of children, revealing the blessing and joy of parenthood. When a person loses hope, the Creator performs a miracle and grants life.

Nature may say “no,” but God says “yes.” The impossible becomes possible — even when a person has already lost faith".
